Which is the best electric bike under £1500?

Finding a good electric bike can be a daunting task, especially if you are on a budget. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced e-bike rider, you will want to know everything about the electric bike before you purchase it, including the specifications so you can determine which model is the best for you.

At Skootz, we want you to be happy with your electric bike purchase, and ultimately, you will want to get plenty of use out of it. Aside from the feel of the bike, you may also be conscious of the price tag, particularly if you are after a cheap electric bike. We have picked out a few of the best electric bikes that cost less than £1,500.

Kaisda K2 20 inch electric bike

While this bike falls a little short under the £1,500 price point, the Kaisda K2 20 inch electric bike is by no means a cheap e-bike. This model costs £1,259 and you can split the payments with Klarna to spread the cost of the bike. At first glance, it looks like a state-of-the-art dirt bike that you would use for off-track riding.

However, upon closer inspection, this electric bike is rather sleek and striking. It has a top speed of 22mph and thick tyres that will help it easily climb up hills. It has a 500w motor and it comes in black. What will impress e-bike riders the most is that it only takes around 5-7 hours to fully charge, so you won’t have to wait too long to get out on the road.

Although the Kaisda K2 is one of the more expensive options on our cheap electric bike list, it should definitely be taken into consideration.

Samebike LO26 500w foldable electric bike

Another brilliant cheap electric bike is the Samebike LO26 500w foldable electric bike, which is £10 cheaper than the Kaisda K2, currently priced at £1,249. Like the Kaisda K2, the Samebike has the same motor (500w) built in, but the upside of this electric bike is that it only takes 4 hours to fully charge.

Nevertheless, the Samebike has a top speed of 22mph, and the tyres can handle all different types of terrain, so you will have a great time riding it. What also stands the Samebike in good stead, is that it’s quite light weighing in at just 25kg and it’s really easy to fold up. Just remember that with lighter electric bikes, you will need to be quite agile to handle the twists and turns when you are out riding.

DYU D3F electric bike

However, if you are quite budget conscious, then let us present you with the DYU D3F electric bike, which is currently on sale, and has been reduced from £549 to £499. This is one of the lighter options, as it weighs just 18kg, and it has a top speed of 15mph, so it may well suit more novice riders.

The DYU D3F has a 240w motor and 14inch tyres. It also has an impressive 28mile electric range and a 37mile range with pedal support, making it a great option for people looking for a cheap electric bike.
