E-scooters have exploded in popularity over the past few years, and with summer just around the corner, we want to help you find the perfect electric scooter so you can enjoy the glorious sunshine. We understand that e-scooters serve a dual purpose. They benefit those who want a quicker and arguably more eco-friendly commute to work, whilst also appealing to those who prefer to use them recreationally.

Here at Skootz, we are constantly on the lookout to see what the latest trends are, especially when it comes to purchasing a good electric scooter, but what are the best e-scooters for summer? In this guide, we will run through our top three electric scooters and explain what makes them stand out. We have judged them on a wide variety of criteria, including battery life and speed.

 Obarter X3

While it is one of the more expensive electric scooters in our range, priced at £1,229, the Obarter X3 lives up to the hype and merits its place as one of the best electric scooters we stock. Although you can buy this product upfront, but for those who wish to spread the cost, you can do so via Klarna with three payments of £409.66.

The Obarter X3 looks quite snazzy as it comes in black and can reach a top speed of 41 mph, so will suit those who enjoy the thrills and spills that come with using an e-scooter. Although it takes up to 12 hours to charge and has a 30-mile range, there are 11-inch tyres and it is quite heavy as it weighs 46kg. Nevertheless, the Obarter X3 is a very good electric scooter that you will have fun with during the long summer days.

 T4 Max

If you are looking for a sleek electric scooter to enjoy during the summer months, then you may like the T4 Max. Boasting a 600W direct drive wheel motor as well as a top speed of 36 mph, the T4 Max is a bit of an all-rounder.

But what is impressive, is that you can charge this product within 5-6 hours and it has a 30-mile range. The T4 Max is also quite light as it weighs 22kg, so if you are in a rush or need to fold down the e-scooter, you can do so with minimal fuss. The T4 Max is currently priced at £599, making it less than have the price of the Obarter X3.

 Aovo Pro 2

If you are perhaps a bit more budget-conscious, then you may like the look of the Aovo Pro 2 electric scooter, which comes in at the low price of £369. The Aovo Pro2 has a smaller motor as it has a 350w direct wheel motor, and it has a top speed of 19mph.

Although it has a shorter mile range (21.5 miles), the Aovo 2 can be charged within 6 hours and it has LED lighting, so you will be seen by other motorists if you are riding your e-scooter late at night after the sun sets.

Oh, and the Aovo 2 weighs a mere 12.5kg, so it is great if you want a light e-scooter to ride.
